How does pull printing with an RFID badge work in a hospital?

A doctor, nurse, or administrative staff member sends a document (prescription, lab order, hospital discharge summary) from any workstation, tablet, or cell phone. The document is encrypted and placed in a queue until the user authenticates at the nearest printer by holding their RFID badge up to the TCM4 reader. No documents containing patient data are left on the tray, and there is no unauthorized access to clinical information.

How can you track who printed a document containing patient data?

Each print job is logged in the audit log along with the user who submitted it, the date, time, and the device on which it was released. If a sheet containing patient data ends up outside the hospital, the log makes it possible to track who printed that document and when. It is a key tool for compliance officers and hospital auditors when investigating PHI leaks without relying on external DLP systems.

What is Print2Me, and how do doctors use it at the hospital?

Print2Me is a unique virtual queue for each user. The doctor sends their print jobs (prescriptions, orders, instructions, medical records) without selecting a printer—they all go to a single personal queue. The doctor then prints the document wherever is most convenient: in the doctor’s office, the emergency room, the inpatient unit, or on the floor where they are on call. This is particularly useful for doctors who rotate among multiple areas of the hospital during a single shift.

Does DOQSOFT integrate with HIS, RIS, and LIS?

The stack exports and exchanges information using standard formats (XML, CSV, searchable PDF) and indexes by patient, case number, and date, allowing you to feed your HIS, RIS, or LIS. How long does it take to digitize historical medical records?

It depends on the volume and age of the files; the scope and timeline are defined during the analysis phase.
